A Varied and Diverse Media Career for Victoria Doramus

In May of 2006, Victoria Doramus left the University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s in journalism. But she has done much more in her life than reporting on the day’s events. She has parlayed her media experience into a career that has covered marketing, art, and books.

After graduation, Doramus got a job at Mindshare in Los Angeles, where she worked as an assistant media planner, working with various vendors to create print media plans. After a year there, she landed a position at the Creative Artists Agency as a youth market trend analyst. The company gave Victoria Doramus numerous responsibilities. She wrote articles for the online trend newsletter Trendcentral, developed content for a fashion blog, and produced TV segments about various trends for shows like “The View” and “Good Morning America.” In 2010, she was hired as the lifestyle trend editor for Trendara, which offered clients consumer insights to help with brand and product development. She also did a stint with TV and film director Peter Berg as his personal assistant.

Outside of work, Victoria Doramus has taken on numerous freelance projects. She was the ghost writer for several books, including The Modern Girl’s Guide to Sticky Situations and Menu Dating: Taste-Test Your Way to the Main Course. Doramus also contributed articles about lifestyle trends for the Huffington Post, USA Today, and Cosmopolitan. All her experience has made Victoria Doramus an expert in trend analysis for fashion, design, and lifestyles.
