Autism Rocks Festival was created by Usha and Sanjay Shah Denmark, a Dubai-based couple with an autistic son Nikhil. The couple dedicated themselves to do something for their son, and children like him. Usha stated that she believes that autism needs more exposure to encourage researchers to focus on it, and find better ways to assist those with it.
The concert was founded by the couple in 2014. Sanjay Shah is the founder of Solo Capital Partners, as controlled by Solo Group Holdings. Shah owns over 3-dozen companies across Dubai, Malta, Luxembourg, The Cayman Islands, London and The British Virgin Islands. He has seen much success in his time and is noted with a net worth of over $280-million.
Despite his enormous success in business, Shah did not intend to work in finance and investment. He started by studying medicine until he realized quickly that being a doctor was not his life passion. He switched to accounting and worked for investment banks such as Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch. In 2009, during a worldwide recession, he set out on his own and opened his own brokerage company. That was Solo Capital.
Just like in his work, Shah is not one to be deterred from doing what his heart tells him. Focusing energy on Autism and helping those who suffer from it, including his child, is another life passion that he is determined to develop. The Autism Rocks Festival is a strong step in the right direction.
Shah, who considers himself to be retired, is enjoying his pursuits that help this cause. The festival will feature live music but also fun family events like golf, zip lines, horse rides, laser tag, face painting, barbecue, a petting zoo and inflatable rides. Along with 117 Live, Solo Group Holdings and the Shah family hope to bring attention to a worth-while cause that needs notoriety to find medical answers.
