A New Jersey Dentist Wants to Raise Money for Operation Smile

Millions of children and teenagers have benefited from the individuals who volunteer at Operation Smile. This organization was established in the early 1980’s by a doctor and a nurse. This married couple were living in the Philippines and they saw that there was an overwhelming need to help children and teenagers who were deformed because of cleft palates and lips. They decided to do something about the problem. At first, they were only able to help children in the Philippines. However, their organization grew to help children in more than 60 countries. At first they asked businesses to help support their organization by providing funding. Businesses and many individuals helped. Also, many individuals volunteered their time. There are professional staff volunteers that are located in more than 80 countries.

One individual who is especially interested in helping provide funding for this organization is Avi Weisfogal. He has set up a Go Fund Me campaign in order to help Operation Smile. Avi is a dentist and a philanthropist.

The money that is raised by means of Avi’s Go Fund Me campaign will be used in order to purchase equipment and supplies that are needed to help children in many countries to get surgeries in order to fix facial deformities.

Avi Weisfogal is from New Jersey. He has worked at the Old Bridge Dental Care office for many years. Throughout Avi’s career as a dentist, he has won many awards and has become well known.
