Sleep apnea is a sleep associated disorder that inhibits breathing during sleep. It occurs when the back of the throat collapse during sleep causing breathing problems exhibited by snoring, choking or gasping during sleep. Persons with this disorder are advised to use the Continuous Positive Air Pressure (CPAP) machines during sleep. However, the machine is bulky and apnea affected individuals find it hard carrying it with them and thus have to cut on their travels and limit their vacations.
The Huffington post recently released an article discussing how healthy sleep experts have been working closely with dentists to correct this. They have been designing apnea devices that are less bulky but which have the same effect on the patients. For this reason, they have come up with a several easily portable devices that afford sleep apnea patients the comfort of travel and vacations without fearing about their sleep or compromising their fun that comes with sleeping without the CPAP only to have a bad sleep and wake up fatigued due low oxygen levels in the body
Some of the CPAP brands that guarantee comfort for regular travellers or during vacations include; the travel CPAP, the oral appliance, and the nasal valve therapy. The primary benefit of these CPAPs is that they are small in size and easily portable. Their small size makes it possible to use them anywhere including on the plane during long-distance flights; you only have to make a pre-travel arrangement with your airline.
