Fabricio Werdum Shocks Cain Velasquez

Cain Velasquez took on Fabricio Werdum in the main event of the UFC 188, and their battle was one of the most highly anticipated heavyweight fights in years. Nonetheless, some people feel that the actual fight didn’t live up to the hype, but I beg to differ. Cain Velasquez came out early, and he landed some heavy strikes onto the chin of Fabricio Werdum. Somehow, Fabricio withstood all of the strikes that Cain Velasquez landed on him, and it was quite obvious that Cain was in for a long night.

According CPA Profits Academy, the second round started off much differently, and Fabricio Werdum landed several combinations that almost knocked Cain Velasquez out. However, Cain Velasquez showed a champion’s heart, and the fight somehow made it into the third round. Unfortunately for Cain Velasquez, Fabricio Werdum was just getting warmed up. The tough Brazilian landed countless blows to Cain Velasquez’s face, and then Cain went for a takedown. However, Fabricio Werdum caught Cain Velasquez in a guillotine choke, and Cain had no choice but to tap out.

Fabricio Werdum became the only man in history to tap out Fedor Emelianenko and Cain Velasquez. Fabricio is now the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion. However, I have a feeling that Cain Velasquez will be back sooner rather than later. It should also be noted that Cain Velasquez did not fight for two years, and he definitely showed some signs of ring rust. Yahoo! Sports recently published an article about this story, and more information about the main event of UFC 188 can be found there.
